It's a compelling argument, but nothing you point out compels you to keep the sound on - and most of Dan's complaints stem from things people say. Could the "mute" button be the ideal compromise?

Yes, I did a lot of really grueling research on this one, as you can tell. And my favourite moment in the whole series is David Boreanaz playing air guitar so you don't even need sound for that so you may, in fact, be right...
