Wow. That sounds amazing. When was Lafferty at his peak, any idea? I always find it's helpful to know what colors an author's writing -- Philip K Dick for instance wouldn't be quite so enjoyable for me if I didn't know why half his stories seem to be post-Apocalyptic...

No idea, I'm afraid. Nine Hundred Grandmothers came out in 1970 and collected stories from the late 1960s, if that helps.
